Reminder to drink liberally, tonight

WHEN: Wednesday 23rd July from 7.30pm
WHERE: London Bar, cnr Wellesley St and Queen St, opposite the Civic.
WHAT: Regular event for Drinking Liberally’s Auckland City chapter
WHO: You and any of your friends who may be interested
THIS MONTH: Mix and mingle, a great chance to meet fab new people, have a beverage or two, and talk politics if you are so inclined.
COST: Free, you will just need to buy your own drinks.

Or, you could always join me at the Takács Quartet concert.

    Denis, Regular as a daily diet of stewed prunes, but a whole lot more interesting. Fourth Wednesday of every month.

    Next one is Wednesday 27th August, same time, same place.

    There is a Facebook Drinking Liberally group that you may want to join if you are the joining type. Just search groups for Drinking Liberally NZ.

    Thanks Julie. How did it go last night?

    The Takács Quartet concert was brilliant, BTW. You can catch their Wellington concert on RNZConcert tonight at 8pm. It includes a short Psathas piece which shows, I think, that we have a world-class composer living in Wellington.

    Apparently it went well, I was on baby-duty so stayed home, but my partner went and there was a pretty good turnout (about 30) given the lack of speaker and the clash with a few other events. Next one will be 27th Aug, more on that soon I hope.
